A long time ago, in a land not so far away, we got a puppy. Unlike our previous dogs, this one didn’t shed it’s coat and before long it needed a tidy-up. Never one to turn down a challenge, I put it in the bath, hair-dryer’d it and clipped off those puppy curls with kitchen scissors. As the years went by my technique (and equipment) improved and I began to practice on a couple of friends’ dogs. Finally I knew it was time to get formal training and so I enrolled for City and Guilds Dog Grooming, completing level 2 and then level 3. Now I run Shiny Paws where that puppy, now a grand old lady, still gets her regular wash and trim and where I welcome all other dogs and promise them the same care and attention.
